The popular online multiplayer game Roblox has been hacked by Trump supporters who are targeting players' parents, pleading with them to vote for sitting President Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential election. With the November's election day drawing nearer, Trump supporters are getting desperately creative with their attempts to re-elect Donald Tr
If you are an avid Roblox fan, you might know about the Roblox Annual Bloxy Awards. The Bloxy Awards is a virtual award ceremony that is held every year. This year's award ceremony is slated to be much bigger than all the previous ye
There have been other instances of distasteful and even horrific hacks of the game. There are still online tutorials teaching people a hack that allows them to "rape" other avatars in the game. For a children's game, this sort of in-game misconduct should not be possible, as it has been abused to knowingly and intentionally confuse, indoctrinate, and (in extreme cases) groom child players. Kids just wanting to have some blocky fun are logging into Roblox to be disappointed by the fact that some people are using their accounts for perceived political gain to prop up an ailing campaign in an historic presidential election that they likely don't even comprehend, nor should they have to. It can be hoped that the developers will act swiftly and firmly in this and other cases of abusive behav
Gamesindustry.biz has reported that Roblox accounts have been hacked by malicious Trump supporters in an effort to call upon underaged players' parents to vote for their candidate this year. Many users logged in to find their profile messages changed and their avatars dressed up as avid Trump supporters. While some users have still been able to log in and change their profiles back to their own preferences, according to Gamesindustry.biz more than 1300 profiles still show the message, " Ask your parents to vote for Trump this year ," as well as the Trump campaign slogan, " MAGA2020 ." Roblox dlc|https://Robloxrealm.Com/ allows for many player customization options, but unlucky hacked users found their avatars dressed in bald eagle graphic t-shirts and red baseball caps resembling the red MAGA caps worn by ardent Trump support
Roblox creator DreamCraft decided to run an April Fools' Day joke update themselves this year, offering players of Adopt Me! a free temporary pet rock that could be acquired in the game. According to PC Gamer , this anecdote unexpectedly resulted in Adopt Me! having over 680,000 concurrent players. These numbers are almost triple what the current most popular game on Steam, the RPG Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, had on the same day, with that game logging roughly 230,000 concurrent players. Those who decided to obtain their free new pet were humorously treated to a pet rock with the visuals of a toddler’s drawing. Adopt Me! has had over 5.3 billion visits to the game since its creation in 2017, which is no surprise considering Roblox has over 100 million active users . Check out a video of the rock in action below, as shared by the game's official Twitter acco
This is not the first go at an April Fool’s joke to come from Roblox games. Last year saw the April 1 st announcement of Roblox’s first console, which claimed to provide 8K graphics and 120fps performance. Roblox stated that the " console " will be in early access until the year 2999. It has since been revealed to be nothing more than a hat falling under Roblox’s accessory category. The Adopt Me! pet rock update garnered positive responses from players, with the only complaint seemingly being that the pet rock was most likely not going to be a permanent pet in their collection. DreamCraft hasn’t stated how long the pet rock will be available to play
With 28 billion logged hours played since 2008, and a recent mention in Fortune as one of the best workplaces in the San Francisco Bay area, there's no reason to think that the Roblox Corporation has any plans of slowing down. While they've not yet reached Grand Theft Auto levels of popularity , right now they're happily celebrating their 100 million active users, and if the current trend continues, it won't be long before that number doubles in size. It was only April of this year, after all, that Roblox was 90 million strong, and gaining 10 million fans in four months is something any company would be proud
It is reported that there are shuttles in place to transport players from the ceremony to the band performance. The band will be playing three songs, and once that's completed, players will return to the award cerem
April Fools' Day jokes have always been a source of collective laughs and painful disappointments among gamers, and April Fool's 2020 was no different. Developers have now grown accustomed to using the madness of the day to maximize the possibility of trending, and in the case of the Roblox game Adopt Me! , use the opportunity to cause a potential major spike in the number of people playing their game. If ever there was an optimal time for developers to get free marketing, it would most likely be April Fools' Day... but few people would have suspected it could be achieved with only a pet r
