Sony's Japanese AAA-level voice tracks are very, very good. We normally don't get to enjoy them because PlayStation's triple-A games typically aren't set in Japan, so it wouldn't really make sense to include the local track for the w

Together you will build a stronghold to withstand enemy forces and protect your valuable resources and buildings. Only one faction can win this race toward victory, but all may l
But let me get straight to the point. Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia are most probably going to work on a Japanese voice track. That's standard procedure for games of this magnitude, and the release of the first trailer voiced in Japanese is a clear indicat
A 1:1 reproduction of the real map of Tsushima would probably be doable, but this doesn't mean that Sucker Punch will go for it. As you'll see in Part 2 of my feature, the island is a natural paradise the vast majority of which is covered by mountains and forests. This means that populating it with content is probably easier and quicker than a dense urban environment like Seattle. Yet, we still can't answer the question of whether it would make sense gameplay-wise or
The game is set on the island of Tsushima in the Korea Strait, right in the middle between the westernmost tip of Japan in Kyushu and the Korean peninsula. The backdrop is the first Mongol invasion of 1274, led by Genghis Khan's grandson Kublai Khan and culminated with the Battle of Bun'ei where the term "Kamikaze" was b

As of now, Jefferson Pierce aka Black Lightning (Cress Williams) isn't expected to appear in the Arrowverse crossover. Black Lightning won't premiere until early 2018 , and the series will reportedly be kept separate from The CW's other DCTV shows - at least, for the time being. Still, this year's Arrowverse crossover is set to include all the major heroes from The CW's live-action DCTV series, as well as their animated offerings set in the superhero universe. Now, fan art for the Arrowverse recreates a Justice League poster using the DCTV her
Interestingly, there are conflicting accounts on how effective Japanese archery and tactics really were against the Mongols, with mentions of sniping officers from afar being definitely successful. Some sources also suggest that Mongol formations weren't as cohesive as others allege. Yet, one detail is interesting: the early Tachi blades used by the Samurai were too long and thin, causing them to often snap when impacting against the thick boiled leather armor worn by the Mongols. This triggered a process of revision of the Japanese sword that would lead to the creation of the shorter and sturdier Katana as we know
The teaser released for SDCC is an in-universe propaganda piece and very much about re-education of the basic premise - manned mechs Jaegers were made to fight invading kaiju. It also features the first appearance of John Boyega's character, a casting that will likely set Uprising above the origi
History doesn't say much about what happened during the occupation, giving the developers quite a lot of freedom on how to shape the story. Japanese sources speak of ruthless cruelty by the Mongols and Korean invaders, who burned down villages and slaughtered many of the inhabitants, including women and children. This is said to have shocked the samurai, as for them warfare was mostly an engagement between warriors, not designed to involve the civilian population more than strictly necessary. Quite a few accounts (some related to Tsushima and some to Iki Island) report grim details of local women being rounded up and having their palms pierced, with ropes passed through the wounds to tie them to the side of Mongol ships. Of course, this kind of account tends to be rather one-sided, but it'll be interesting to see how the folks at Sucker Punch will decide to depict the brutality of the invasion, and what kind of depth and moral spectrum will be attributed to the enem
