The Real Struggles MBA Students Face While Completing Their Projects

When I first began my MBA project I believed it would be easy. Pick a subject, conduct some research, write it out and then submit. Easy. I had envisioned the project could be completed in a couple of weeks with a few late nights before the deadline. Reality came in fast. This project is more than writing a document. References are equally vital. One missing citation can raise questions. Utilize software to manage the references you have and continue making chapters rather than waiting until the final. Properly formatted documents make your work clearer and makes it appear more professional.

Stress Is Real

Stress is unavoidable. deadlines, corrections, and insufficient data can cause a lot of stress. Sometimes I sat at my screen and felt I could never finish.

Short breaks help. Conversation with friends, going for a walk, listening to music. Celebrate small wins. Finalizing a literature review and the data collection are important milestones. They can keep motivation in check.

Ethical Confusion

Many students panic over what kind assistance is allowed. If you want to get help, however you can't have someone else help you write your own project. Ethical guidance may include comments on structure, methodology and clarity. Original work must remain yours.

Requesting help does not be considered cheating. It is beneficial to use available resources. They expect students to find help when they're stuck.

Reviewing Your Work

I decided to focus on the chapters one at a time at first. Then, I realized the book as a whole had repetitions of terms, inconsistencies and missing hyperlinks. Examining the whole project in depth reveals imperfections. Imagine yourself as the examiner. You'll see mistakes you missed otherwise.

Procrastination Destroys Quality

A delay in work is a serious problem. My initial thought was that I would finish data analysis and writing in a couple hours. This never worked. Each delay diminished quality.
